Israel is threatening the forced displacement of over 7,000 Palestinians through its illegal E1 settlement plan in the occupied West Bank. This is what apartheid looks like — and we must oppose it.
The E1 plan — which would sever occupied East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank and “bury the idea of a Palestinian state,” in the words of an Israeli minister — is a direct attempt to to finalise the years long plan to make a contiguous Palestine state unviable.
In 2024, the International Court of Justice issued a landmark advisory opinion declaring Israel’s continued occupation of Palestinian territory unlawful and ordering it to end “as rapidly as possible.” and that states have a duty to not to aid or assist in maintaining this illegal situation.
